For over 20 years the compassionate bed-side manner of Board Certified Pediatrician and Neonatologist Dr. Terri or Dr. Boo Boo as she is affectionately known, has been familiar to many fans from her featured role on ABC’s hit reality series Houston Medical and Lifetime’s Women Docs. In addition to T.V., she has enjoyed a rewarding career in Neonatology, High Risk Follow-up and Neonatal Hospice and is a leading expert in the field of Neonatal Palliative Care and the Art of Difficult Conversations.

Her work in this area and the area of Work-Life Balance has led to a successful speaking/consulting career as well as two best -selling anthologies. Both parents and colleagues routinely seek her out for her unique ability to deliver information in a way that families are encouraged and providers are motivated.

Dr. Terri routinely facilitates workshops on the development of Neonatal Palliative Care Teams as well as Seminars on Supporting Parents in the NICU. Additionally, she offers unique one-one-one consultation for families of NICU Graduates for nutritional/developmental needs after discharge.

Dr. Terri received her Doctorate of Medicine and  Master’s in Public Health at UCLA School of Medicine and as well as  completed a pediatric residency at UTSW Medical Center/Children’s Medical Center of Dallas. Dr Terri went on to complete her Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine Fellowship at UTHHSC/Memorial Hermann Children’s Hospital.
